Day Two, Part One
Day Two of my adventures went a bit differently than expected but was still a good day. My best-case scenario in planning was that I would reach the Dallas/Fort Worth area mid-afternoon, allowing me to meander through a particular museum for an hour or two before heading back to my hotel for the evening. (I was pretty sure that the day was not going to happen exactly like that, considering the distance I had to travel and that I do like to get out of the car every now and then, but I had decided to be optimistic and see what happened).
Morning of day two: Finished of the last portion of Mississippi, drove through Louisiana, & entered TEXAS:
Where I promptly spent about half an hour reveling and gathering an armful of maps and brochures as planning help and souvenirs. And then did not drive very far at all before succumbing to temptation and stopping for TexMex:
Which was wonderful and delicious but took out another hour. So (spoiler alert) I did not arrive in D/FW by 3 pm. I did, however, manage to see a museum on my way there, which I will talk more about in my next post.
